Summer Festival Jubilee Ball, 3rd June - notes for tables/guests

Thank you for booking and payment for a table on Friday, 3 June 2022.

Timings:

4.00pm - 5.30pm Marquee will be open during this time, to dress your table. A HoVEC representative will greet you and direct you to your table.

5.30pm - 6.30pm Marquee closed for judging.

7.00pm Events starts, bar open 7.30pm - 9.00pm Food 9.00pm Music starts 11.45pm Event finishes, carriages.

Theme:

This years theme is “The 7 Decades of the Queens Reign” – linked to our PlatinumJubilee Celebrations. We would like to see how you interpret this by dressing your table. This year the judging panel with representatives from HoVEC, FOHPS, Parish Council and Kindergarten will be marking the tables on creativity, originality, recycling and recognisable to the Queen’s Reign. The judges will not be allowed to vote for their own table. The Marquee will be closed whilst judging takes place between 5:30pm – 6.30pm. The marquee will re-open from 6.30pm so that you can view the winning tables.

Fancy Dress:

Many people come in fancy dress linked to their table’s theme however, this does not form part of the judging criteria but makes a great talking point and adds to the atmosphere.

HoVEC Provide:

A table (5ft 6 inc for 10 guests of less, 6ft for 10 - 12 guests), Chairs for Guests, Bin liners will be provided at the end of the evening to take away your rubbish - please dispose of at home. 

You Provide:

Food, Cutlery, Crockery, Wine glasses, Table decoration themed to “The 7 Decades of the Queens Reign” and are responsible for the clearance of your table at the end of the evening.

 

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

Table decoration should only be on the table - due to access and egress and any additional items will be removed by HoVEC.

Table decoration should be a sensible size, if in doubt please emails info.hovec@gmail.com for clarification.

NO CANDLES/BBQ

Balloons - please advise if this is part of your decoration.

The Big Summer Festival raffle:

We will be running our very successful Raffle in the run up to the weekend and over the weekend itself with it being drawn on Sunday, 5 June at 16:30. Tickets are £1.00 each - PLEASE BRING CASH FOR THESE.

  1. First prize - £250 Cash
  2. Second Prize - Heath Stores local suppliers Hamper
  3. Third prize - A £50.00 voucher for One

Licensed Bar

The Social Club will be running the licensed bar all weekend with a selection of real ales, lager, wines and spirits. Please support and use the bar which is run by volunteers and all profit from the weekend goes towards helping our community. HoVEC could not run these events without the support and help provided by the Social Club. You may bring your own wine/fizz as there are no pre-orders but please support the Social Club for all your other drinks.
